Most “first AI song” guides read like onboarding emails. This is the shorter, slightly grumpy version from shipping a phone music app.
Do the short track first
Long generations feel productive. They’re not, when you’re still guessing mood. Short take → full listen → decide. Stretch length only after something already almost works.
Topic field is optional for a reason
Blank is fine. A single concrete image (“train home after overtime”) is fine. A paragraph of life story is how people burn two free tries and decide AI is stupid.
Change one control between attempts
If you flip mood and genre and voice, you learn nothing. Scientists call it bad experimental design; we call it Thursday night.
Keep three settings fixed. Change one. Compare. You’ll “get” the app in three listens instead of fifteen shrugs.
