Pocket Song free vs Premium — no surprise billing talk
· 1 min read
Pocket Song is free to install. Premium is optional. Here’s the non-shiny version.
Free
- Download from the App Store at $0
- A limited free generation allowance so you can run the real flow: choose → create → listen (and usually share)
- Enough to decide if the style of track fits you
Free is not “unlimited songwriter forever.” That’s intentional. We’d rather be clear than bait-and-switch with microscopic watermarks and twenty upsell screens.
Premium
- Higher generation limits when you’re making tracks often
- Sold as Apple In-App Purchase (subscription)
- Cancel / manage: iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
- Reinstall weirdness: Pocket Song → Settings → Restore Purchases with the same Apple ID
Refunds go through Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Stay free if…
You only need the occasional birthday/gift song or a single Reel bed. Hit free, stop, come back next month.
Pay if…
You’re making several tracks a week, testing moods for content, or you’re mid gift season and free is gone mid-idea. Then Premium is less “status” and more “don’t break the creative streak.”
